Mt Piper Energy Expo offers a wonderful day out for the whole family.
The power station is just off the Castlereagh Highway (Mudgee Road), about 20km north-west of Lithgow and 8 km past the Wallerawang Power Station. Mt Piper’s address is 350 Boulder Road, Portland.
Mt Piper is NSW’s newest power station. State-of-the-art design and technology makes Mt Piper a byword in safe efficient, environmentally clean energy production. You can see how it all works at the Energy Expo, which is free.
Enjoy the hands-on high-tech interactive exhibits at the Information Centre. Picnic area, children’s playground and electric BBQ facilities. Stay and have lunch: the barbeques are electric, naturally. And let the kids explore the delights of the playground.
Tours of the power station are held every day (including weekends ) at 11am.
Temperatures can be quite cold in winter, please keep this in mind when choosing what to wear.
Visitors are asked to not take photographs or carry cameras and bags.
