Since the GateHouse
Jenolan was
opened in March 1996, this bushwalking
lodge has become the gateway for many
travellers into the magnificent Kanangra
Boyd National Park and the now World Heritage
Listed Jenolan Caves Wilderness Reserve.
The GateHouse has been designed to offer
families, schools, social groups and adventurers
the chance to enjoy the tremendous beauty
and the many activities available in the
region at a cost not previously available.
The GateHouse offers
a choice of either four person rooms containing
a Queen sized bed and a set of bunks or six
person rooms containing three sets of single
bunks. There are shared bathroom facilities
on each floor and two common rooms each with
television and food preparation facilities.
All the facilities
of Caves House including Trails Bistro and
Chisolms Grand Dining
Room are open to guests
staying at the GateHouse Jenolan. By using
any of our four meeting rooms, the GateHouse
can provide groups with an inexpensive conferencing
option. Conferences can be linked with our
team building and activity programmes, including
adventure caving and abseiling which are carried
out in the Jenolan Wilderness Reserve or magical
theme nights in Caves House. |
There
are several ways to get
to Jenolan.
It is a pleasant 2.5 hours drive from Sydney
along the Great Western Highway or Bells Line
of Road. Visitors can also catch the train
to Katoomba station and join the Fantastic
Aussie Tours coach at 10.30am each day far

Mountains and then down to Jenolan. Coaches
also depart daily from Circular Quay.
